The varied "Holzlandweg" is best explored as a multi-day stage hike. The circular route, nearly 37 kilometers long, leads through dense forests, past bizarre rock formations, and along bubbling streams. Picturesque places on the hiking trail offer numerous accommodation and dining options.
Anyone seeking scenic variety with magnificent forests, romantic stream valleys, and exciting paths is certainly not on the proverbial wrong track with a hike on the Holzlandweg. In addition, the often almost mystically appearing rock formations are a special attraction. When quietly observing the rock formations, you can spot many fantasy figures. Children are happy to help in this search. But these are not the only highlights of the path that bring joy to children and motivate them to hike.

- Always behave attentively, kindly, and considerately towards everyone you meet on the trail.
- Respect nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
- Remember to take a trash bag with you and carry your waste back home.
- Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
- For your own safety, observe all trail closures, including on weekends.
- Park only in designated parking areas. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machinery.
- Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic.

General advice:
Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees may still fall or branches may drop. With adverse weather conditions, natural trails may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such trail impairments when hiking. If you believe certain trail sections are not passable for you, you should avoid them.

- A sufficient supply of food and drinks, as there are not always dining or shopping options available or open.
- Although the trails are very well marked throughout, it is advisable for safety reasons to always carry a suitable hiking map so that, for example, you can quickly find a safe area in case of a thunderstorm or an emergency.
